Job summary

Planqc in the United States is seeking a Quantum Integration Engineer to lead the assembly, integration, and commissioning of our quantum hardware systems, taking subsystems from design through to a stable, scalable, and fully operational whole.

You will review subsystem requirements, ensure infrastructure readiness, and define best practices that keep our systems reliable, well‑documented, and ready to scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Several years of hands‑on experience integrating, testing, or commissioning complex systems in a lab, industrial, or engineering environment.
• Proven experience reviewing and validating system designs, focusing on subsystem interfaces and integration with external infrastructure.
• Expertise in one or more of the following: quantum hardware control systems, 19‑inch rack integration, and power distribution, cooling, CE conformity, and electrical safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assembly, integration, and commissioning of quantum hardware systems, including reviewing subsystem requirements, ensuring infrastructure readiness, and documenting all stages.
• Review and validate system designs with a focus on subsystem interfaces and integration with external infrastructure.
• Define and implement best practices for system assembly, component testing, and rack integration.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis across electronics, mechanics, and software domains.
• Plan and manage infrastructure component inventory based on project scope and system requirements.
