Job summary

The You Zhou Lab, in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, seeks to hire researchers at Assistant Research Scientist or Postdoctoral Associate to develop RF quantum electronics based on 2D materials. Positions start Summer 2025, with collaboration across DEVCOM ARL.

Candidates will work with multidisciplinary teams, publish high-impact research, and mentor students while coordinating with sponsors and internal groups.

Qualifications

• PhD required by start date in relevant fields.
• Experience directing or training junior researchers (undergrad/grad).

Responsibilities

• Design and carry out research with multidisciplinary teams.

• Review literature to inform new directions or whitepapers.
• Train faculty research assistants and students.
• Direct data collection at ARL facilities.
