Job summary

Metric Geo seeks a quantum scientist to benchmark existing quantum error correction codes and evaluate trade-offs across code families. Qualifications

• Strong understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing.
• Hands-on experience benchmarking multiple QEC code families.
• Familiarity with surface codes, qLDPC and other QEC codes.
• Experience with quantum resource estimation, simulation, benchmarking or scientific computing.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• PhD in Physics, CS, Applied Math or related field preferred.
• Experience with quantum programming or software frameworks is valuable.
• You don't need to have invented a new QEC code; rigorous benchmarking is key.

Responsibilities

• Benchmark existing quantum error correction codes and compare their performance.
