Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quantum fault-tolerance theory, decoders, and stabilizer formalism.
• Experience in simulation tools including Python, Julia, QEC frameworks, and tensor-network libraries.
• Experience with peer-reviewed research in quantum error correction.
• Ability to collaborate with experimental teams to facilitate physical implementation.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Doctorate degree in Quantum Information Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize fault-tolerant protocols for realistic architectures.
• Analyze qubit connectivity and optimize transversal and blockwise operations.
• Develop logical-gate implementations including Clifford/non-Clifford and teleportation-based gates.
• Evaluate magic-state preparation and scheduling methods.
• Collaborate with atomic/solid-state physicists on constraints and resources.
• Map QEC scheduling to architecture to reduce temporal overhead.
• Co-design logical decoders with firmware and control-electronics teams.
• Contribute to verification and validation of QEC models.
• Integrate noise models into QEC protocols with modeling teams.
• Work with Booz Allen's software stack to deploy QEC models and decoders.
• Support business development aligned with mission goals.
• Mentor junior scientists and coordinate with partners.
