Job summary

GlobalFoundries is offering an internship program in the US for the APL Quantum Intern role. You will contribute to quantum advanced packaging development, including wafer-to-wafer and die-to-wafer bonding, TSV/TOV, and interposer development.

You will work with engineering teams to run experiments, analyze results, model processes, and support daily integration and development activities. The internship includes mentorship, growth-focused assignments, professional development, and networking

Qualifications

• Sophomore year at time of application; pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or related field
• GPA 3.0+ and in good academic standing
• English language proficiency (written and verbal)
• Travel up to 10%
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform experiments (DOEs) with internal tooling and external partners
• Analyze and interpret engineering data from experiments and development activities
• Develop or support process models to improve packaging and integration performance
• Assist engineers with daily integration, process development, documentation, and problem solving
• Communicate experimental results and recommended next steps to stakeholders
• Perform all activities safely and comply with EHSS requirements
