Qualifications

• PhD plus at least 4 years of relevant research experience.
• Experience developing research software using Python, C, or C++.
• Strong record of peer-reviewed publications, software, datasets, patents, or comparable artifacts.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary research teams and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in quantum networking or distributed quantum computing.
• Develop models, algorithms, simulation capabilities, and research software for networked quantum systems.
• Investigate system-level challenges in architectures, resource management, and integration of quantum and classical resources.
• Formulate new research directions and contribute to proposals and sponsor interactions.
• Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and communicate findings through reports and talks.
• Mentor students and junior staff and contribute to a collegial research culture.
