Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Pasadena, CA, is seeking an Equipment Engineer to maintain and improve complex semiconductor fabrication and characterization tools in a cleanroom.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and lead equipment health programs to maximize tool up-time for wafer processing. Ideal candidates have a strong engineering foundation, problem-solving skills, and experience in academic or industrial fabrication facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience problem solving and root cause analysis.
• 4+ years of root cause analysis and process design experience.
• PMI/PM certification or 5+ years of predictive and preventive maintenance experience.
• Experience with CMMS software.
• Experience developing and debugging hardware; reading mechanical/electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment and lab infrastructure; document solutions for future reference.
• Coordinate with field service engineers for service calls and supervise their work in labs.
• Improve up-time via preventive maintenance plans and equipment health initiatives.
• Own equipment and lab spaces to ensure reliable lab performance.
