Job summary

Leidos in Lawton, OK is seeking a Quantum Information Research Scientist to advance quantum sensing and communications demonstrations within the Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). You will supervise building and testing systems and collaborate with sub-contractors.

The role requires a BS/MS/PhD in physics/optics/QIS with 2+ years, ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance, and US citizenship. Travel to Leidos facilities in DC or Huntsville may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a BS, MS or PhD in physics, optics, quantum information science (QIS), or related engineering field with 2+ years of experience.
• Proficient with physical quantum mechanical systems used in sensing or communications.
• Must be able to obtain TS/SCI security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in building and testing quantum-based communications and sensing systems.
• Collaborate with sub-contractor partners on program development tasks.
• Communicate complex technical work to both technical and non-technical audiences; prepare updates for leadership.
• Possibly travel within the US to Leidos facilities (DC, Huntsville) as needed.
• Assist with proposal processes and white papers; contribute to lab setup and experiments.
