Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Quantum Information Scientist in the Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) within the INTEL Sector, Lawton, Oklahoma. You will lead a technical team and contribute to R&D on quantum-based communications, sensing, and related demonstrators.

The role requires a PhD in physics/optics/QIS and 4+ years of relevant experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Onsite work in Lawton with occasional travel to DC/Huntsville.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, optics, QIS or related field is required.
• 4+ years of related work experience.
• US CITIZEN and eligible for TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in building and testing quantum-based communications and sensing systems.
• Manage collaborations with sub-contractors, including the University of Oklahoma.
• Travel within the US for short periods as needed; present findings to experts and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to proposals, white papers, and updates to the group lead in Huntsville, AL.
