Job summary

Amazon's Center for Quantum Computing in Pasadena, CA is hiring a Hardware Development Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team of physicists, materials scientists, and hardware/software engineers advancing quantum hardware.

You will apply solid engineering principles, perform automated measurements, develop instrumentation and cryogenic systems support, and contribute to documentation and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and execute measurements under test standards.
  • Plan and run automated measurement sequences and document results clearly.
  • Support instrumentation, data analysis and system integration improvements.
