Job summary

Google’s Quantum AI team in Goleta, CA seeks a hardware engineer to advance custom silicon for quantum control and measurement. You will work with RF/analog/mixed-signal designs on board-level solutions powering quantum computers, collaborating with ASIC designers to improve density and performance.

You will document designs and results, support integration into systems, and help deploy high-complexity projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal design.
• 3 years of experience designing PCBs with GHz-rate data converters, FPGAs, or processors.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and operations of electronics for Google’s quantum computers.
• Design control and measurement systems for next-generation quantum computers, from architecture to implementation.
• Drive board-level projects of high complexity to completion, collaborating with team of engineers.
• Document work and share results with relevant stakeholders.
