Job summary

Amazon Center for Quantum Computing in Pasadena invites an Applied Science intern to design and validate hardware for the control and readout of quantum processors, spanning room to cryogenic temperatures. You will work with cross-functional teams on analog/mixed-signal PCB design and lab testing to advance quantum hardware.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields and hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes and soldering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Technology, Science, Operations Research, Robotics, Mathematics or related fields.
• Hands-on lab skills including oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal analyzers and soldering equipment.
• Working knowledge of at least one CAE circuit or mechanical design tool.

Responsibilities

• Design cryogenic and room temperature PCB-based hardware used for signal conditioning and control functions.
• Develop tests to validate hardware with benchtop and cryogenic test setups with quantum devices.
• Explore enabling control technologies to enable commercially viable quantum computers.
