Job summary

AWS Center for Quantum Computing in Pasadena, CA, is seeking a Quantum Applied Scientist to join the Test and Measurement group. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and automate experimental calibration and optimization routines for quantum processors, advancing toward fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier conferences/journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel/distributed computing.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel calibration and optimization routines.
• Test and validate these routines on processors in a cryogenic environment.
• Automate these routines to verify performance at scale.
• Contribute to novel quantum error correction demonstrations.
