Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quantity Surveyor for a Welkom-based role, responsible for cost control from initial estimates to final accounts. You will ensure projects stay within budget, value work accurately, and manage contractual claims.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying, professional qualification if possible, and at least 5 years of experience. You will advise on procurement strategies and support hybrid work with some office and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying on construction projects.
• Experience with cost estimation and tendering processes.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
• Analyze tender returns and prepare recommendations for contract awards.
• Monitor project costs, manage variations, and process payments to contractors.
• Value completed work and arrange for payments, managing contractual obligations.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.
• Prepare final accounts and resolve contractual disputes amicably.
