Job summary

GMO, a global investment manager headquartered in Boston, offers a two-year Quantitative Technology Associate program. You will rotate across three technology teams, developing tools for research, trading, portfolio management, clients, and operations.

Each rotation lasts about eight months with training provided at join and throughout the tenure. Joining in June 2027, you’ll learn across data processing, application development, and AI, with exposure to Python, SQL, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript,

Qualifications

• Strong experience with programming or scripting languages from prior work/internships/projects.
• Python experience required.
• Knowledge of data stores, cloud, cybersecurity, or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Propose, design, and implement technology solutions for investment teams and client-facing partners.
• Enhance existing technology solutions and support production environments.
• Collaborate with technology experts, product owners, and research teams.
• Gain skills in Python, SQL, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, R, MATLAB, or other languages.
• Participate in DevOps practices and produce technical documentation where needed.
