Job summary

Verition Fund Management LLC is offering a 10-week Summer Internship Program in which you will join a technology team to work on high-impact projects within a global hedge fund. You’ll collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts and professionals, and present your work to senior leaders by summer's end.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a STEM degree and proficient in Python, with knowledge of C++ or Java, plus experience in ML/AI and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, business, or another STEM field.
• Proficiency in Python, or knowledge of C++ or Java.
• Proficiency with machine learning and AI applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, strong work ethic, and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to be collaborative and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated interest in hedge funds/financial services.

Responsibilities

• Paired to a technology team and exposed to data ingestion, high‑performance processing, modelling, portfolio and risk management, live execution and post‑trade analysis.
• Contribute to strategic projects that extend beyond daily team responsibilities.
• Compete in a trading simulation with the intern class to build market knowledge.
• Present work and ideas at various points throughout the program.
