Job summary

Concordia Visiting Nurses is seeking a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse to support QAPI, audits, and documentation reviews within our home health program. This in-office role emphasizes compliance with Medicare and home health standards while collaborating with clinical leadership to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a PA RN license, has 5+ years of nursing experience (home health preferred), and strong organizational and communication skills.

• Valid Pennsylvania RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Support QAPI program with record reviews and audits.
• Audit patient care documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Review patient care to assess effectiveness and quality.
• Participate in infection control, incident reporting, and corporate compliance.
• Assist with ADRs, CMS reviews, and other regulatory audits.
• Manage Medicare appeal requests, including reconsiderations and hearings.
• Support new employee orientation on Medicare requirements and regulatory standards.
• Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with leadership.
• Maintain current knowledge of home health regulations.

Who you are as a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse

• Current, valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of five (5) years of recent nursing experience; home health experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify areas for improvement
• Knowledge of Medicare requirements, home health regulations, and clinical documentation standards preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office

What you'll do as a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse

As a Quality Assurance Nurse RN, you will play an important role in supporting Concordia Visiting Nurses' Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting random patient record reviews to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant documentation
• Performing clinical and documentation audits to ensure adherence to Medicare, regulatory, and agency requirementsReviewing patient care to assess appropriateness, effectiveness, and quality of services provided
• Participating in quality assurance activities related to infection control, incident reports, and corporate compliance
• Assisting with responses to Additional Development Requests (ADRs), CMS reviews, and other regulatory audits
• Managing Medicare appeal requests, including reconsiderations and hearings
• Supporting new employee orientation and education related to Medicare requirements, clinical documentation, and regulatory standards
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with leadership and clinical staff to promote quality patient outcomes
• Maintaining knowledge of current home health regulations, Medicare requirements, and quality standards
