Job summary

Concordia Visiting Nurses seeks a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse to support the QAPI program and ensure regulatory compliance in an in-office role. You’ll work closely with clinical and leadership teams to uphold patient care standards.

Ideal candidates hold a PA RN license with 5+ years of nursing experience, preferably in home health, and demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and Medicare knowledge. Proficiency in EHR and MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support the QAPI program and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Conduct audits of patient records for accuracy and completeness.
• Review patient care for effectiveness and quality of services.
• Participate in infection control, incident reports, and corporate compliance.
• Assist with ADRs, CMS reviews, and other regulatory audits.
• Manage Medicare appeal requests, reconsiderations, and hearings.
• Support new employee orientation on Medicare requirements and documentation.
• Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with leadership and staff.
• Maintain current knowledge of home health regulations and Medicare rules.

What you'll do as a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse

As a Quality Assurance Nurse RN, you will play an important role in supporting Concordia Visiting Nurses’ Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting random patient record reviews to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant documentation
• Performing clinical and documentation audits to ensure adherence to Medicare, regulatory, and agency requirements
• Reviewing patient care to assess appropriateness, effectiveness, and quality of services provided
• Participating in quality assurance activities related to infection control, incident reports, and corporate compliance
• Assisting with responses to Additional Development Requests (ADRs), CMS reviews, and other regulatory audits
• Managing Medicare appeal requests, including reconsiderations and hearings
• Supporting new employee orientation and education related to Medicare requirements, clinical documentation, and regulatory standards
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with leadership and clinical staff to promote quality patient outcomes
• Maintaining knowledge of current home health regulations, Medicare requirements, and quality standards
