Job summary

Sibelco is seeking a Quality Testing Technician in Saint Paul, MN to support quality systems and ensure product conformity. You will assist in quality checks, analyze data, and prepare reports.

This role emphasizes accuracy, data integrity, and ongoing process improvement within a minerals facility. Ideal candidates are detail‑oriented, able to work with Excel and Outlook, and capable of following SOPs, procedures, and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Quality Improvement Process knowledge.
• Core competencies in Quality Control, Testing, and Auditing, a plus.
• Able to read and understand Procedures and Test Methods.
• Capable of operating quality equipment (inspection tables, ovens, etc.).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently, with little supervision.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Color vision.
• Data entry experience.
• Basic computer operation skills (Excel and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist in utilizing the Sibelco Quality system at Sibelco facility.
• Lead in ensuring that products and services meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Perform plant quality checks per Sibelco’s Quality Procedures.
• Track quality performance, identify problem areas, take action to contain deficient material.
• Analyze data and produce reports, as requested.
• Observe Production Line Workers’ actions to ensure sampling and testing are done correctly.
• Perform and document in-process cullet sampling in accordance with SOP.
• Conduct and document incoming and outgoing load inspections.
• Work with maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently to optimize product quality.
• Wear appropriate site-specific PPE, as required.
• Understand and adhere to all company operating procedures and safety policies.
• Cross-trained in other plant positions, as needed.
• Any other related duties, as assigned by supervisor.
