Job summary

Briggs & Stratton in the Utica area is seeking a maintenance-focused team member to uphold high quality standards in finished products. You will monitor quality procedures during assembly and contribute to a culture of quality leadership.

The role requires 3 years in manufacturing with final assembly experience, general education, and fluency in English. The position is on site with emphasis on lean processes and continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitors daily adherence to quality standards and procedures and suggests changes.
• Oversees daily auditing of finished products.
• Investigates root causes of assembly defects and initiates corrective actions.
• Collaborates with cross functional teams to resolve customer-reported quality issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.

Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
