Position Description

Performs assignments that require special skills such as Die Cast, Gage Lab, Dyno, or Supplier Quality. Performs process capability studies, Gage Measurement System Analysis (MSA)s, and Gage calibration, and report on Statistical Process Control (SPC) data trends.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Performs duties related to incoming materials including but not limited to contact vendors to resolve quality issues , develop inspection instructions, determine disposition of assembly defects, track vendor quality ratings, lot containment, perform AQL sampling, develop sampling plans, and make determination on reject disposition
  2. Performs duties related to gauging and calibration including but not limited to schedule and coordinate the calibration of gages in manufacturing, develop gage user instructions, coordinate delivery of gages to appropriate in-house calibration area and/or coordinate sending and tracking of off-site calibration
  3. Maintains quality system / database including but not limited to audit and identify missing data, develop custom report upon request, and maintain hardware on the shop floor
  4. Executes SPC charting interpretation and trend-analysis
  5. Performs other duties as assigned

Physical & Environmental Requirements

May be required to lift or carry product parts, and/or other materials of various smaller sizes and weights up to 17 lbs

Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)

Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)

Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
