Job summary

Culligan with ZeroWater Technology is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Test Engineer I in Libertyville, IL. The role focuses on inspecting, testing, and assuring the quality of industrial water treatment systems and components prior to shipment or installation.

Responsibilities include cross-functional issue resolution, performance testing (leak, pressure, flow), and protocol development for accurate verification. Travel to on-site inspections may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical or mechanical tech required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4–5 years of experience in equipment testing, mechanical/electrical assembly, or industrial maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with PVC threaded pipe and glue joints.
• Experience testing PLC logic and interpreting electrical diagrams.
• Experience with industrial water treatment equipment preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Occasional travel may be required for on-site inspections or customer support.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production issues and improve quality.
• Test water treatment systems for leak, pressure, flow, and operation.
• Inspect pumps, valves, controls, and wiring for design and quality compliance.
• Read electrical schematics to troubleshoot circuits and system functionality.
• Develop and refine testing protocols for consistent QA processes.
• Provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing to improve design and produc tion.
• Document test results in QC forms or SharePoint Quality Site.
• Work with engineers, technicians, and production staff to address quality concerns.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Issue corrective actions and verify root causes are addressed.
