RESPONSIBILITIES:
General and Task Management:
- Takes the lead role in Warranty Lab daily functions and communicates/coordinates with Quality Engineers.
- Provides support for warranty returns, customer concerns, and EDER systems processes.
- Performs electrical, mechanical, and functional tests of products following specified test protocols.
- Conducts visual evaluation and dimensional measurements of products using fixed or preset measuring instruments as per established work manuals.
- Analyzes warranty return parts to support corrective actions and recurrence prevention.
- Prepares simple reports and provides detailed evidence to team members.
- Communicates analysis results to facilitate short-term, recurrence prevention, and long-term corrective actions aimed at customer KPIs, warranty prevention, and cost reduction (EDER).
- Provides technical support to internal departments to maintain and improve product quality.
- Supports adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
- Calibrates gauging and equipment according to procedures.
- Records test and measurement data using statistical process control and reports data appropriately.
- Supports regular meetings to establish action plans for EDER activities and warranty cost reduction.
- Ensures timely processing of warranty returns through the warranty department, including coordination, daily part reception/shipping, database management, and KPI monitoring.
- Provides feedback for continuous improvement activities and supports or leads improvement projects.
- Undertakes special projects as needed.
- Establishes and achieves goals aligned with short- and long-term group objectives.
- Maintains Lab and workspace with 5S principles and supports continuous improvements like 1 second find / 1 second reach.
People / Relationship Management:
- Supports warranty engineers.
- Supports internal groups regarding part quality.
- Communicates efficiently with all stakeholders.
- Liaises with warranty engineers, departments, customers, and suppliers as appropriate.
- Committed to customer satisfaction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Technical School or Associate Degree.
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
