Job summary

Badger Meter, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to inspect electronic and mechanical products at various production stages and to compile statistical data ensuring quality and reliability.

You will oversee receiving inspections, select test samples, record data, and communicate findings. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a Quality field or related degree preferred.
• 0-1+ years of experience in a mechanical or quality inspection role desired.
• Strong technical aptitude and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving inspection to meet the needs of production departments with accurate and timely inspection of received goods.
• Select products for tests at various stages (1st piece inspection, in-process control, final test) for dimensions, performance, mechanical, electrical, chemical, aesthetic and function.
• Record inspection data; apply SPC and CPK analysis.
• Evaluate data of received goods and write reports noting deviations from prints/standards.
• Recommend modifications of quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment limits.
• Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests to measure performance/life.
• Maintain non-conforming material review and supplier corrective action data.
• Advise and train production employees on quality work instructions and procedures.
• Process internal corrective actions from manufacturing and assembly departments.
