Job summary

Prototek is hiring a Quality Inspector II or III in Wisconsin to join a fast-paced manufacturing team focused on high-mix, low-volume production. You will ensure precision parts meet customer specs through detailed inspections and accurate reporting, supporting First Article and in-process checks.

The role involves generating Certificates of Conformance, handling FAI documentation, and ensuring on-time flow to shipping while following ISO 9001 / AS9100 procedures.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate CMM independently and troubleshoot measurement errors.
• Experience with PC-DMIS, Calypso or similar inspection software.
• Strong blueprint reading and ASME Y14.5 GD&T knowledge.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards.
• Experience working with metals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Inspect parts to print using hand tools, CMM, and optical comparators.
• Generate inspection reports and Certificates of Conformance.
• Support FAI documentation and customer certification requirements.
• Route parts through secondary processes and ensure on-time flow to shipping.
• Communicate quality issues and status updates with internal teams.
• Follow ISO 9001 / AS9100 procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
