Job summary

Milo’s Tea Company Inc is seeking a Quality Trainee to ensure consistent product quality by enforcing Milo’s standards and food-safety practices. You will collect samples, run tests, and document results to support QA processes.

The role requires an Associate degree with preference for Biology, Food Science, or Chemistry. Familiarity with GMP/SQF and MS Office is expected; overtime and weekend work may be required as part of production schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent required; Bachelor's preferred or 3 years related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong data handling and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of GMP/SQF requirements and food safety testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products meet Milo’s quality standards.
• Obtain samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks.
• Monitor compliance with GMP/SQF requirements and food safety standards.
• Maintain lab equipment and perform calibrations per schedule.
• Assist with raw ingredient receipt, sampling, testing, and review.
• Perform routine testing: weights, volumes, colors, brix, codes, packaging integrity; document results.

We champion these efforts through partnerships, education, and events to support and celebrate our diverse workforce and networks.If you require assistance or accommodation to participate in the job application process, please contact [e-mail] SUMMARYThe Quality Trainee will assure consistent quality of production by enforcing quality and manufacturing standards.RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure all products are produced per Milo’s quality standards.Obtain samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks as needed.Monitor compliance with and administer GMP or SQF requirements.Ensure Food Safety and Food Quality compliance as directed.Maintain all laboratory and testing equipment and perform calibrations per schedule.Assist with the receipt of raw ingredients and sample, test and/or review.Monitor FIFO and communicate concerns to the QA Manager.Perform testing and document weights, volumes, colors, brix, codes, packaging integrity, and other routine testing as required.Perform environmental testing of air, water, and bacteria according to schedules.Perform additional duties as directed by the QA Manager.Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.Collect and prepare samples for shipment as needed.Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.QUALIFICATIONSApplicants must have an Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school minimum. Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Food Science, Chemistry is preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software including Microsoft Office Suite.
