Job summary

Milo’s Tea Company Inc. is seeking a Quality Trainee to assure consistent product quality by enforcing manufacturing and quality standards in our Tulsa facility.

The role involves sampling, testing, and ensuring GMP/SQF compliance, with overtime/weekend shifts as needed. A two-year degree or equivalent plus knowledge of MS Office are required, with a preference for biology/food science backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school minimum.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Food Science, Chemistry is preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Internet software including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all products are produced per Milo’s quality standards.
  • Obtain samples for bacteria plating and daily quality checks as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with and administer GMP or SQF requirements.
  • Ensure Food Safety and Food Quality compliance as directed.
  • Maintain all laboratory and testing equipment and perform calibrations per schedule.
  • Assist with the receipt of raw ingredients and sample, test and/or review.
  • Monitor FIFO and communicate concerns to the QA Manager.
  • Perform testing and document weights, volumes, colors, brix, codes, packaging integrity, and other routine testing as required.
  • Perform environmental testing of air, water, and bacteria according to schedules.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the QA Manager.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Collect and prepare samples for shipment as needed.
  • Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
  • Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.
