Job summary

C.H. Thompson is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support and strengthen our Quality Department on the production floor.

This role is approximately 75% hands-on, production floor work and 25% computer-based/desk work, collaborating with production, inspection, and management teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications, drive corrective actions, and improve process control. You will perform inspections, document CARC logs and FAIs, read blueprints, and help refine quality

Qualifications

• Experience with first article inspection, spec interpretation/compliance, and former QC background preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Experience using measurement and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Quality Documentation, CARC & Corrective Actions.
• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections of parts and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and customer specifications.
• Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns with production teams in real time.
• Assist with testing and evaluation of coating or paint-related issues.
