Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Quality Technician to uphold high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. You will work to ensure products meet specifications and participate in continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

You will apply NCR and 8D methodologies to identify non-conformances, document corrective actions, and support root causes while collaborating with engineering, production, and suppliers. A High School diploma and hands-on measurement experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience using measuring tools to perform quality checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and organize responsibilities.
• Experience with 8D/NCR methodology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and determine conformance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attitude toward plant targets regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity.
• Utilize NCR process and 8D approach to build quality into processes.
• Audit daily activities to identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Initiate, manage by priority, and close out NCRs.
• Escalate repeated non-conformances to QA Engineers.
• Ensure a quality product passes through all stations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, safety, and vendors on compliance.
• Drive COPQ reduction and support root cause investigations.
