Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Oregon seeks a seasoned Quality professional to plan, supervise and execute a wide variety of inspections, tests and processes supporting aerospace manufacturing.

You will apply in-depth knowledge to complex problems and lead major projects with other functions, including potential hazardous waste handling. The role requires coordinating customer topics, audits and concessions, and leading DSQR activities to ensure certification.

Qualifications

• 6-7 years of relevant experience or AS/AA degree with 5-7 years of technical experience or BS degree with 2-3 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of scientific principles and laboratory techniques; in-depth field knowledge.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, schedule, evaluate and coordinate major projects.
• Working knowledge of NDTE, quality and material testing equipment; MS Office; SolidWorks and Minitab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Engineers on customer topics including specification reviews, customer feedback investigations, customer audits, and PO reviews.
• Facilitate and lead DSQR activities across the campus.
• Support the Quality Engineer to devise and submit concessions; meet customer requirements for portal access.
• Lead source inspection (DSQR) activities to meet certification requirements.
• Support quality improvement and cost reduction activities for the campus.
• Obtain certification for and support all audit activities as required.
• This position requires scheduled shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
• Other duties as assigned.
