Job summary
RTCA in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to join our precision aerospace manufacturing team. You will serve as the technical leader of the inspection group, performing advanced inspections and guiding Inspectors to ensure product quality and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
You will interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and AS9100/ISO standards while driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace/manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for inspection teams.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T documentation.
- Solid knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the inspection team and coordinate priorities daily.
- Perform advanced dimensional and visual inspections with precision tools.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to Inspectors.
- Interpret drawings, GD&T, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Support audits and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
