Job summary

Arkema Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician in New Jersey to conduct laboratory testing, enter results into SAP, and support quality initiatives. You will work on first shift with overtime as needed and enjoy a benefits package starting Day 1.

The role emphasizes accuracy, data integrity, and collaboration with production to resolve quality issues and drive continual improvement within Arkema's global network.

Qualifications

  • Prior laboratory experience required.
  • Degree in chemistry, biology, engineering or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of SPC, control charts, Cp/Cpk and standard deviation preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality control testing using laboratory equipment and enter results into SAP.
  • Investigate out-of-spec results and support root cause analysis with production.
  • Prioritize, document, and report testing activities with data integrity.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment calibration, sample management, inventories, and nonconforming material processes.
  • Support continuous improvement with production to meet customer/manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality control testing using laboratory equipment and approved procedures and accurately enter results into SAP within required timelines.
  • Investigate out-of-specification results, support root cause analysis, and partner with production and other functions to resolve quality issues.
  • Prioritize, perform, document, and report testing activities while maintaining data integrity and compliance with laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment calibration, sample management, retain inventories, and nonconforming material processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with production teams to meet customer and manufacturing requirements.

  • Prior laboratory experience required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, with preference given to chemistry, biology, engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Basic statistical knowledge preferred, including SPC, control charts, Cp/Cpk, and standard deviation concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
