Job summary

The Arkema Group in Columbus, OH, is seeking a QA Lab Technician to oversee in-process and final testing for production, ensuring safety, customer specs, and data integrity.

You will operate SAP QC testing plans, calibrate instruments, maintain lab supplies, and support corrective actions or process improvements, with willingness to work off-shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 3-5 years in a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to work off-shift and/or 12 hour shifts.
• Math skills.
• Computer skills / ability to learn new programs.
• Must have effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Verify raw materials and test in-process/final samples according to test methods.
• Communicate results to production and process engineers.
• Ensure data accuracy and precision of test equipment.
• Operate laboratory computer systems (SAP) and other supporting software.
• Calibrate instruments.
• Provide non-routine testing for corrective actions or process improvements.
• Participate in facility's Internal Audit program.
• Follow all safety requirements.
• General maintenance of the lab.

As a QA Lab Technician, the successful candidate will be responsible for all in-process/final testing associated with the production, manufacturing and release of products. The purpose of the testing is to make sure products are made safely, and both customer expectations and specifications have been met. The lab tech executes the procedures and methods associated with the quality systems.

The QA Lab Technician will be responsible for the support of production in:

• Verification of Raw Materials:
• Testing of in-process/final samples according to test methods:
• Communication results to production and process engineers.
• Responsible for accuracy of data and precision of test equipment.
• The use of laboratory computer systems (SAP) and other supporting software.
• Calibration of instruments
• Provide non-routine testing associated with corrective actions or process improvements.
• Participate in facility's Internal Audit program
• Following all safety requirements
• General maintenance of the lab
• Set up SAP QC testing plans for new products and raw materials
• Maintain Inventory of all lab supplies
