Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Quality Technician II for on-site work at the Bentleyville facility in Charleroi, PA. The position requires experience in manufacturing and quality inspections, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with inspection tools and SAP. On-site work with standard shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of direct quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• MRP/ERP systems experience; SAP preferred.
• Proficiency with standard inspection tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Works with production and engineering staff to support receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
• Conducts and oversees training of all company personnel in quality documents and procedures.
• Resolves and disposes of quality issues raised by customers and suppliers.
• Administers all document control activities associated with the quality system.
• Collaborates with engineering, production, and supplier quality teams.
• Controls calibration equipment and supports management of device databases.
• Assists with internal and supplier audits related to the quality system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Quality Technician II performs a variety of tests to ensure units function according to specifications or to determine the cause of unit failure. Using test instruments, the technician reads test schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment. The role includes receiving, in-process, and final inspections per applicable prints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Works with production and engineering staff to support receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
• Conducts and oversees training of all company personnel in quality documents, ensuring training records are generated and stored in accordance with procedures.
• Resolves and disposes of quality issues raised by customers and suppliers.
• Administers all document control activities associated with the quality system, including the quality manual, procedures, work instructions, non-conformances, and inspection reports.
• Collaborates with engineering, production, and supplier quality teams.
• Controls calibration equipment and supports management of all device databases.
• Assists with internal and supplier audits associated with the quality system.
• Other responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience (minimum) in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct quality inspection experience.
• Strong proficiency with standard inspection tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• MRP system experience (SAP preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Collaborative with engineering, production, and supplier quality teams.

Core Competencies

• Experience with fabrication, weld inspection, and NDE methods.
• Salesforce experience.
• Experience with portable CMM equipment.
• Steel mill or foundry experience/background.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or secondary education in a company‑related field preferred (machining, measurement, analysis, laboratory work, casting/foundry).

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This role will be on site in Bentleyville, PA.
