Zusammenfassung

Ellwood Crankshaft Group seeks an NDT Inspector to verify crankshafts and related parts meet drawings and specs through UT, MT, and LP testing. You will pursue ASNT Level I/II qualifications, maintain calibration records, and collaborate with customers and ECM lab staff to support quality objectives.

Responsibilities include performing material testing, documenting results, and helping with continuous improvement and zero-defect initiatives. Some travel may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to organize/prioritize workload with reading/comprehension skills.
• Familiar with general computer applications.
• Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
• Valid driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Test material (production and maintenance parts) for discontinuities using UT, MT, and LP methods and interpret findings.
• Pursue ASNT Level I/II qualifications and maintain certifications through recertification.
• Inspect crankshafts or parts to verify conformance to drawings and specs.
• Maintain calibration standards and complete paperwork (NDT results, tests, time entries).
• Collaborate with customer inspectors and ECM lab to develop/approve procedures and specs.
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives (Zero Defect, QIP).
• Assist in programming and modification of NDT calibrations on ECM equipment.
• Assist ECMP Lab with Materials Testing, Metallography, and Failure Investigation.
• Support fatigue testing and operate ECG’s resonance fatigue tester.
• Adhere to company policies and provide coverage across Ellwood Crankshaft Group entities.
• Travel as needed and cross-train to support production and quality.
