Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Elyria, OH is seeking a NDT Inspector at first shift to perform diversified nondestructive testing in accordance with inspection plans, blueprints, and manufacturing outlines. The ideal candidate will be NAS 410 Level II certified for MT and PT and able to read GD&T drawings while using precision measuring tools on a busy shop floor.

The role requires strong attention to detail, solid math skills, and proficiency with computer-based documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be certified to Level II NDT NAS 410 for Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant inspections.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Prior CMM and surface plate inspection experience preferred.
• Must read and interpret blueprints with GD&T knowledge.
• Basic math and computer skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified inspection activities per plans and blueprints using standard inspection equipment.
• Lay out castings for verification and create inspection plans aligned with drawings.
• Review test data and shipping documents for conformance to contracts and revisions.
• Operate measuring equipment and maintain records of sequences and non-conformances.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers and participate in continuous improvement.
