Job summary

Ellwood Crankshaft Group (ECG) in Sharon, PA is seeking a non-exempt, full-time Quality Tech I. The role performs nondestructive testing to ASNT Level I/II, inspects crankshafts, maintains calibration records, and collaborates with customers to ensure quality conformance.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, good communication, and the ability to work independently or on a team. Some travel and cross-training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Test material (production and maintenance parts) for discontinuities using Ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant procedures, and interpret any discontinuities found.
• Pursue NDT qualification to ASNT Level I/II in UT, MT, LP and maintain certifications.
• Inspect crankshafts or parts to verify conformance to drawings and specifications (Level I & II).
• Maintain calibration standards and complete paperwork (NDT results, testing results, time entry).
• Collaborate with customer inspectors to develop/approve procedures/specifications.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and Zero Defect initiatives.
• Assist in programming and calibrations for NDT equipment.
• Assist ECMP Lab and fatigue testing activities.
• Adhere to company policies and travel as needed.
• Cross-train to support production and quality efforts.
