Job summary

MSI Express, INC in Chicago is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure product quality through daily line audits, meeting customer specifications and federal/state compliance. This role focuses on batch approval and monitoring core checks.

You will perform lab checks, pre-ops and PC checks, and report any nonconformities per SOP. Must lift up to 50 pounds and be able to work overtime on the first shift.

Qualifications

• Must have basic lab skills and ability to follow SOPs.
• Experience using lab testing equipment and calculating results.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong reading/writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Approve/correct batches and monitor batch quality per SOPs.
• Perform lab checks and ensure items meet defined specs.
• Conduct pre-ops and Preventive Control (PC) checks.
• Notify supervisor and key personnel of nonconformities per SOP.
• Perform analytical tests (e.g., VC, Salt, Brix, pH, DS meter, TA, Vit C) and sensory audits.
• Perform physical tests of raw materials and finished products.
