Job summary

Versatex in Boise, ID is seeking a Quality Technician I to support production quality. The role focuses on auditing quality results, performing periodic inspections, and ensuring accurate quality paperwork.

The candidate will work a 12-hour shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, handle quality measuring devices, and participate in the red tag process and process point audits, with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration across Production, Engineering and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) preferred.
• Experience with ISO9000/QS9000/TS16949 Quality Systems & Auditing, a plus.
• Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mathematical abilities.
• Must be able to read quality measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, square, tape measure).
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with variable temperatures.
• Must be self-directed and able to multi-task in a 12-hour shift on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Physical Demands:

Ability to work in an environment that can become hot/cold (temperature) depending on the weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; climb ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
