Job summary

Moriroku-Technology-North-America- in Alabama seeks a detail-oriented Quality Inspector. You will conduct in-process and final inspections, perform dimensional checks with calipers and micrometers, and ensure compliance with ISO-14001 and IATF 16949 standards.

Responsibilities include documenting test data, supporting RCA/CA processes, and training operators on quality procedures. This is a full-time, on-site role with potential overtime and shifts including days or evenings.

Classification : Hourly; Non-exempt



  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of automotive components and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

  • Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional tests using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Monitor production processes to identify potential defects and recommend corrective actions to prevent quality issues.

  • Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CA) processes to address non-conformances and implement effective solutions.

  • Document and maintain detailed inspection records, quality reports, and test data in accordance with company procedures.

  • Support first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with control plans and quality guidelines.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions.

  • Manage Change Point Control System, monitor and maintain hold area, and sort and contain product as needed.

  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and process efficiency.

  • Provide training and guidance to production operators on quality standards and inspection procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO-14001, IATF 16949, and other applicable quality standards.


Qualifications/Skills:



  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or a related role in automotive manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, control plans, and inspection techniques.

  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).

  • Familiarity with ISO-14001, IATF 16949, and other automotive quality standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with quality management software (preferred).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and various materials.

  • Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Full-time, with potential for overtime based on production needs.

  • Shifts may include days, evenings, or weekends.
