Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Quality Control Technician to test and audit production lines and finished goods on the day shift (6am–2pm). The ideal candidate will understand technical concepts, work independently, and maintain high product quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting 100% of units, performing QC tests, preparing defect reports, supporting production, and training operators on customer requirements. Base pay starts at $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand technical concepts.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Proficiency with computers and basic software.
• Quality Assurance background desired.
• Basic understanding of 5 Why problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Inspect 100% of units produced on the line.
• Perform QC tests and audits as requested by management.
• Create and distribute defect reports in a timely manner.
• Support production and assist with training of operators.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper working condition.
• Adhere to health and safety practices in QC area.
• Willingness to work varying shifts, overtime, and weekends.
