Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Quality Control Technician for a 1st shift (6am-2pm) to test and audit production lines and finished goods. The role requires understanding technical concepts, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will inspect all units on the line, document defects, investigate customer rejects, and support production as needed while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Good organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Detailed oriented.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, people-oriented environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand technical concepts.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Good computer and technology skills.
• Quality Assurance background desired.
• Basic understanding of 5 Why process to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Inspect 100% of units produced on the line.
• Observe health and safety practices when performing tests.
• Perform testing and audits as requested by management.
• Create and distribute defect reports.
• Inspect raw material as required.
• Reject out of specification product and hold for disposition.
• Communicate with shifts’ QC Technicians about quality status.
