Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Quality Technician I to support production quality during 1st shift at our Southern Pines, NC location. You will improve inspection methods, collect data for PPAP and customer returns, and ensure materials meet specs.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with 5 years quality experience in manufacturing (prefer machining/assembly).
• Or associates/technical certificate with 3 years quality experience in manufacturing (prefer machining/assembly).
• Ability to read simple English instructions and communicate effectively.
• Strong math skills (statistics, geometry, trig).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain standards and methods for examination, inspection, measurement and testing of materials.
• Support PPAP, Customer Returns, and related data collection for projects.
• Ensure materials meet engineering specs and customer requirements.
• Provide quality support to operations by investigating and reporting internal and external complaints.
• Maintain inspection records and certifications.
• Lead or participate in problem-solving events under a Quality Engineer.
• Dispostion materials and coordinate with purchasing on supplied materials.
