Job summary

Southern Grind is seeking a Quality Control Technician I to support expanding production, focusing on reducing cost, improving manufacturability, quality, and decreasing cycle times. The role requires at least 1 year of quality experience and familiarity with MS Office for inspection reporting.

The candidate will perform precision inspections, interpret blueprints, and report results, coordinating with operators to resolve manufacturing challenges and ensure conformance to specifications.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working in quality.
• At least 1 year of experience utilizing MS Office to prepare spreadsheets and inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection/verification on machined parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• First Article inspection, in process, and final inspection of parts and materials for workmanship, and conformance to specifications and drawings.
• Record and report inspection process and results.
• Communicate with machine operators & supervisors to resolve inspection, engineering, and manufacturing challenges.
• Help to determine inspection procedures to ensure complete verification of specifications and dimensions.
• Interpret blueprints and all relevant specification sheets necessary to verify conformity.
• Obtain necessary fixtures, gauges, and indicators to check machine parts for compliance with specifications and prescribed tolerances.
• Other duties as assigned.
