Job summary

Surestaff in Ingleside, IL seeks a Quality Inspector to support customer quality requirements, perform internal audits, and conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process and finished goods. You will maintain calibration records and help ensure compliance with quality systems.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in a technical field, experience with measuring tools and inspection equipment, and certifications such as Internal Auditor, Six Sigma, and Lean.

Qualifications

• Experience in using measuring tools, testing equipment, and interpreting technical drawing.
• A keen eye for identifying even minor defects or deviations from standards.
• Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
• Effective communication to clearly convey quality findings and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure specifications.

POSITION SUMMARY

Support customer quality requirements, gather customer claims information, perform internalaudits, product quality inspection, monitor and maintain calibration system. Provide backup tothe Quality Supervisor in maintenance of management systems documentation.Support the Quality Supervisor and quality department objectives.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Conduct various inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications. (PPAP’s, FAI)Maintain detailed records of all inspections, tests, and any quality-related issues.Collaborate and report quality findings to relevant teams and management, highlighting any deviations from standards.Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to finding solutions to quality problems.Suggest and implement improvements to production processes to enhance quality.Maintain calibration equipment records used in the quality control process and validate inspection controlsTraining other employees on quality procedures and best practices.

Correct and stop any dangerous activity that may cause damage to the product, process, personnel and / or environment.
