Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership in Milan, OH is seeking a Quality Technician on the first shift to verify parts, perform inspections, and support quality processes throughout the production flow. You will use SAP, EWM, and QSI test plans, conduct dimension checks, and coordinate with Customer Service, Receiving, Warehouse, Production, and Finance to prevent nonconformities.

A high school diploma is required; lifting up to 50 pounds and basic QA knowledge are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reading blueprints and QA procedures a plus.
• 6 months experience using measuring tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Quality Technician FT 1st Shift
Responsibilities

• Verifies parts, quantities, and labels for completion of Inspection Boards (must be able to navigate EWM and QSI test plans)
• Verifies inspection boards with BOM’s and updating boards with appropriate changes as necessary (must be able to navigate SAP)
• Performs dimension checks on parts and related activities, as necessary.
• Performs audits of bulk items upon receipt (must be able to read test plans in QSI and navigate EWM/ERP simultaneously)
• Stock checks/containment
• Analyze return material from customers. (coordination with CSR/ERP and EWM)
• Coordinated activities with personnel in Customer Service, Receiving, Warehouse, Production, Finance, Shipping, Product Technicians, Business Unit Managers and Sales Department, Suppliers)
• Initiates appropriate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process, and quality system.
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
• Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of QA procedures, product lines, blueprint reading, SPC and control plans are a plus
• 6 months previous experience use measuring tools including calipers required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good math skills required
