Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Quality Technician to perform in-process and final inspections to meet CTQ specs. Expect to use gauging equipment and perform VT/MT/PT, while validating documentation in OIL and SAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection or related industrial environment.
• Level II certification in Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) or ability to obtain; MT/PT training hours must be completed prior to application.
• Proficiency with precision measuring/inspection equipment; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with SAP and/or quality management systems; strong written/verbal communication; ability to work independently in fast-paced manufacturing.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet critical-to-quality (CTQ) dimensional requirements and customer specifications. You will utilize standard and specialty gauging equipment, perform Level II non-destructive testing (VT, MT, and PT), and validate manufacturing documentation for compliance. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and approving inspection records in OIL and SAP, supporting quality notification activities, and collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to maintain product quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Perform in-process and final inspections using standard and specialty gauging equipment to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and CTQ requirements.
• Conduct and document Level II Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) inspections in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.
• Review, validate, and approve manufacturing and quality documentation in OIL and SAP, including scanning, uploading, and maintaining quality records.
• Create, verify, process, and close quality notifications while accurately documenting inspection results and nonconformance findings.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing instructions to support inspection activities and product acceptance decisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to address quality issues, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or Non-Destructive Testing preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing quality assurance, or a related industrial environment.
• Level II certification, or the ability to obtain and maintain certification, in Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT); MT and PT classroom training certificates and required training hours must be completed prior to application.
• Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection equipment, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with SAP and/or quality management systems, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
