The main goal of this position is to conduct NDE inspections such as Liquid Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Eddy Current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Visual Inspection, etc., on products, document and outline operational and inspection results, and confirm compliance with all Coordinated Management System and customer requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  1. Perform inspections on CTQ dimensional measurements, applying Certified Level II NDE requirements. Validate documentation compliance and approve in OIL. This can include scanning and uploading validated documentation into SAP or the QN. Confirm operations as complete in both Oil and SAP. Build, verify work/rework, and close quality notifications.
  2. You must have completed Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) classroom training with a certificate or equivalent experience to be eligible for the Quality Technician Role. Note: Internal candidates holding Level II VT, MT, and PT certification will be considered first. To maintain the role, you must become Level II certified in VT, PT, and MT. The job will be filled based on qualification, not seniority. An interview is required.
  3. Proficiency with gauging (e.g., ID/OD micrometers, depth mic, calipers, no-go/go gauges, tri-mic, thickness gauges, weld gauges, etc.) is required. Willingness to learn specialty gauging such as Faro-arm, laser tracker, white/blue light scanning, etc.
  4. This role supports Manufacturing Hot Gas.

What You Bring

  1. High School Diploma or GED plus 2 to 4 years of experience with products that have complex geometries.
  2. Ability to read, write, and complete electronic reports and forms.
  3. Ability to perform shop mathematics and interpret complicated drawings, specifications, charts, and use various precision measuring instruments.
  4. Complete all requirements for NDE Level II Certification in at least two methods/techniques.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, visual inspection of complex parts, non-destructive inspection techniques, fixtures, tools, and technical drawings and specifications.
  6. Background in testing, inspection, component repair, manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Control, or Inspection is mandatory.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer-sponsored sponsorship. Internal transfers may be eligible for Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship.
