Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing/construction, field service, project management, Quality Assurance, or customer service in the power industry.
  • Proficient communication and ability to develop thoughtful communication plans.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation and presentation skills with RCA tools.
  • Professional knowledge and experience related to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
  • High level of proficiency with IT systems and data analytics.
  • Travel 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and ensure processes to analyze and monitor fulfillment of contractual and committed requirements; manage feedback to and from the customer, and handle complaints.
  • Perform proactive analyses of data and project risk to guide decisions; drive discussions to ensure risk assessments and mitigations are implemented.
  • Ensure execution of the project quality plan and quality gate process by involvement in evaluations and gate meetings.
  • Assess nonconformance cost (NCC) events and provide analysis for organizational improvement.
  • Support audits and assessments to ISO and Management Systems standards.
  • Facilitate resolution of nonconformance events and drive prevention approaches.
  • Travel to supplier and customer facilities for source release as needed.

We are seeking a Nuclear Quality Engineer to support the North America Gas Services Quality Management. The scope of the job incorporates all quality related, and customer determined activities to meet the targeted results regarding quality. This position will serve as the internal Quality Engineer to the Nuclear Project group within Gas Service providing guidance and support related to planning, reporting, and overseeing activities of quality in nuclear projects.


This role enables you to regularly collaborate with different partners with a focus on contract adherence, project quality deliverables, nonconformance resolution/prevention, and business sustainability. This role also provides autonomy and growth opportunities to foster a variety of work experiences and will require travel to supplier and customer facilities during source release.


How You’ll Make an Impact


  • Establish and ensure processes to a) analyze and monitor fulfillment of contractual and committed requirements b) manage professional feedback to and from the customer, c) manage complaints.

  • Perform proactive and meaningful analyses of data and project risk situations to guide decisions. Track and drive discussions to ensure project risk assessments and mitigations are effectively implemented.

  • Ensure execution of project quality plan and quality gate process through active involvement in project evaluations and participation in quality gate meetings.

  • Assess nonconformance cost (NCC) events and provide analysis for organizational improvement guidance.

  • Arrange, perform, and implement quality related customer requirements such as, Customer witness points, Quality Document preparation and quality focused customer presentations. Support Project Managers and other customers with understanding and guiding customer expectations on quality focus and activities.

  • Facilitate resolution of nonconformance events and fosters organizational prevention approach.

  • Support the audits and assessments program to ISO and Management Systems standards.

  • Facilitate and track focused quality objectives relating to key contract work and drive continuous improvement.


What You Bring


  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.), preferably in an Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • 5+ years of combined experience in one or more of the following – manufacturing/construction, field service, project management, Quality Assurance, or customer service in the power industry.

  • Proficient communication (written and verbal) and the ability to develop thoughtful communication plans, employing multiple channels, or indirect approaches, such as influencing others, to align groups or organizations.

  • Strong analytical, facilitation and presentation skills with emphasis on proven use of RCA tools. Ability to drive collaboration to produce effective results.

  • Professional knowledge and experience related to International Standards ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

  • High level of proficiency with I.T. systems and data analytics. Must be organized, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.

  • Travel 50%

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
