Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform in-process and final inspections, verify CTQ requirements, and ensure compliance with customer specifications. You will use gauging equipment and conduct Level II VT/MT/PT tests, while reviewing records in OIL and SAP to support quality actions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or Non-Destructive Testing preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing quality assurance, or a related industrial environment.
  • Level II certification, or ability to obtain and maintain certification, in Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT); MT and PT classroom training certificates and required training hours must be completed prior to application.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience with SAP and quality management systems; strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Siemens Energy internal transfer eligibility if visa sponsorship exists.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet critical-to-quality (CTQ) dimensional requirements and customer specifications. You will utilize standard and specialty gauging equipment, perform Level II non-destructive testing (VT, MT, and PT), and validate manufacturing documentation for compliance. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and approving inspection records in OIL and SAP, supporting quality notification activities, and collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to maintain product quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using standard and specialty gauging equipment to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and CTQ requirements.

What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or Non-Destructive Testing preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing quality assurance, or a related industrial environment.
  • Level II certification, or the ability to obtain and maintain certification, in Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT); MT and PT classroom training certificates and required training hours must be completed prior to application.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection equipment, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience with SAP and/or quality management systems, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
